# Give recognition and feedback

_Recognize good work or share private growth feedback any time, not just at review cycles._

Recognition and continuous feedback keep the conversation going between cycles. Recognition is value-tagged and can be shared with the team; private growth feedback stays between you and the person.

## Steps

1. Open Feedback from the sidebar, under the Development section.
2. Choose recognition (shared) or private growth feedback, and pick the person.
3. Tag the value it reflects, write your note, and for recognition choose who sees it.
4. Post it. Recognition appears in the recognition feed.

> **Good to know**
>
> Recognition can go to the whole team or a narrower audience. Private feedback is for growth and is not part of a review.
